The cutting edge multifunctional Arena Asarel sports hall in Panagyurishte opened for the first time on 20 August 2015. The hall, in which more than 15 million leva were invested, has 2,000 seats for spectators and was designed according to the latest trends in architecture and furnishings of indoor sports areas.
The modern sports equipment of Arena Asarel provides conditions for holding competitions and training in over 30 types of sports, as well as concerts, festivals, exhibitions and more. The facility has two halls – main and training, which has 250 seats for spectators. The building has modernly equipped changing rooms, saunas, rehabilitation rooms, gym, doping control room, offices, etc., as required for conducting competitions of the highest international rank. In addition, the building offers modernly equipped rooms for press conferences, briefings and business meetings, as well as a restaurant with a capacity of 150 seats and a picturesque terrace overlooking the new artificial pond with a singing fountain.
Arena Asarel is another major project of Assarel-Medet JSC, built in public-private partnership with Panagyurishte Municipality.
